day 3 of OMAD, are persistent headaches normal?

I’m on my third day of one meal a day, but have had headaches for the second day in a row that’s not going away. i drink lots of water, haven’t cut caffeine, eat a lot for my one meal (aiming for at least 1k calories).

i googled and there’s some info about low blood sugar, but i’m wondering if that goes away on its own or if i need to do some form of longer fast first to reset insulin levels or something.

appreciate any insight/experience anyone has!

Answer

Keep an eye on electrolytes. If you’re drinking too much water, you can dilute your electrolyte levels. Try putting a pinch of salt under your tongue and a pinch of salt substitute (potassium) in your water. If you’re only eating 1000 calories, you’re probably fasting a lot more than you think you are and could be in ketosis.
