Day 7 of 30! progress made so far 249>233

I’ve done fasts before but only one fast past 30 days, I’m trying to see how much I can lose this time hopefully hit 200 lbs > refeed > then continue to fast till 170-180\~ lbs.

Male, 5’9. Age : 29. Starting weight 249 current weight 233.6

7 days lost 15.4 lbs.

Its slowing down a little due to all the water weight but slowly losing 1-2lbs daily at this rate. Hopefully at this rate will be 200lbs if this trend continues by day 30. taking snake juice as well daily and 100oz of water per day. Not feeling hungry at all, but mentally am missing food everyday. Just need to keep my mind distracted to avoid temptations seems to be best.

Really just wanted to write down this posts so people with similar starting weight can get an idea of how much they could potentially lose as they water fast (something I’ve loved to see on this subreddit)

How long did it take for the hunger to go away?

Personally failed at day 3. Attempting to go for 30 days again but the hunger was insane.

Doing Chicken broth with electrolyte because I can not do snake juice/salt water as it makes me want to throw up.

This is helpful! I’m 72 hours into my water fast. Male, 36, 6’3. SW: 259 CW: 246 GW: 225. I lost most of that during my pre-fast OMAD diet but steady 2 lbs each day of the fast. Hopefully I keep it up! I’m going to try and fast until I’m 225 but longest fast yet is 5 days.

Wow, you are dope. I’m doing my first 10 day fast and having the same want for food. I’m not hungry but I wanna taste some good food lol. Does anyone have a solution for electrolytes that don’t have calories?

Answer

Good work, I’m actually identical height and weight (was) and currently day 5 into a 7 or 8 day fast. SW 249.2, CW 239.8 (105hours in). I agree that its the mental part that is especially difficult. And the boredom of not preparing any meals or thinking about what you will eat, but I still feel pretty good. I’m taking magnesium and salt too.

Btw I had great success doing weekly 3-4day fasts last year, where I’d typically have my last meal Sunday night and not eat again till Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon. Dropped about 30lbs then.
