Dealing with social plans when you want to fast

I realize this is a weak question, but how do you guys handle it when you want to keep a fast going but you also don’t want to lose all your friends by bailing on plans? Or be awkward and sip mineral water at the table with them. I’d like to think I can fast for 14 days but I have plans with friends and family that will interrupt that. Any tactics you all use? Thanks!

Just remember that eating isn’t the only thing we do socially, This tends to be a bigger issue in thought than it is practice. The same way someone on a diet would eat a salad at a steak restaurant wouldn’t be awkward. If it makes you feel better tell them in advanced so that they don’t buy you anything. Its only weird if you make it that way.

know which foods and drinks are low carb and consume that.

also if you know a social event is coming up fast as long as you can. two or three days before the event, break your fast and eat low carb.

Seriously though..kind of true. Then you can eat dinner with them and get a drink when YOU want to…amiriht?
