Dealing with the empty mouth craving.

I am working on getting back to IF. I am really trying to do OMAD where I have about a 3 hour window. I am drinking water but I still feel hungry in the mouth. It’s like a dry mouth feeling/bored feeling. I also get it when I am really stressed. Anyone know how to help these cravings? The stressed part is my main concern. I get really hungry when I start working. That is why my eating window is when I will work.

I’m realizing that I want to eat out of boredom or stress. I keep carbonated water (I have a soda stream) with a little apple cider vinegar or lemon juice in it, or just a mug of black tea. Also I just try to keep busy doing something else- reading a book, playing guitar….something besides sitting in front of a phone or tv. I have given in a couple of times and I have just kept it to something small. My plan if I’m ever super hungry is just to listen to my body and eat a meal, however that has not happened yet if my OMAD is around 2,000 calories (maybe a little more, maybe a little less).

I do 16:8, and if I get that way outside my eating windows, I’ll drink green tea or chew gum. If I want to snack during my eating windows even when I’m not really that hungry, I’ll have crunchy veggies like broccoli carrots celery and cauliflower

A plethora of sparkling water and tea choices. I also make “mocktails”. Fresh mint leaves, lime wedge, sprinkle of sea salt, and San Pellegrino is a staple. Hibiscus tea (cold brewed) has a wonderful tart flavor that distracts my taste buds. It also mixes with sparkling water flavors really well.
