Dear Coffee, it's time.

I just hit a new PB of 30hrs, it looks like easing into longer fasts in stages is the way forward for me.

The headache situated low in back of my skull never fully went away, I have to commit to eliminating caffeine altogether. I also recall drinking 6 beers on the weekend which would not have helped.

It’s been good to learn what hunger really is - an emotion that is not really accurate or even helpful. My hunger level never passed 2/5 despite working actively and running around.

48hrs is achievable, starting tonight. It still makes me a little nervous, no longer using crutches and cheats to get through. Electrolytes Zma and green tea, that’s it.

Answer

I wouldn’t be so quick to blame caffeine for your headache. It’s possible, but caffeine is often thought to alleviate the pain of headaches by increasing blood flow.

I get that same low in the back of my skull headache frequently. I chalk it up to a combination of eye strain from computer work and mild dehydration.
