DF and salt

Hi guys. I’ve been mostly dry fasting for the past days because it’s so much easier than snake juice fasting. Less hunger, better sleep.

Anyways, sometimes to curb fake hunger or give me a little boost I have a pinch of sea salt (the real good stuff) under my tongue. The taste is amazing and a few minutes later I feel better. It kinda of gives me a high to be honest.

Is it detrimental to the autophagy and other benefits of fasting?

If I have some salt here and there I feel like I can go for 4-5 days without feeling miserable. The weather is extremely hot here so I’m staying mostly indoors and having a short walk early in the morning. Btw, I’m dry fasting to clean up old cells, improve my skin, get rid of cellulitis (I used to be very fat for a long time) and reduce body fat. I’m about 12-14kg away from being very very lean (6 pack, which is my goal).

Thanks!

Answer

I do this also on longer dry fasts and I believe it doesn’t really mess with the process more than it helps me to go longer. I think just as long as it’s just little pinches bc too much without water can throw your salt/water/electrolyte balance off etc. Anyways yeah maybe for healing something super serious (cancer, a tumour etc.) you may need to cut it but for cleaning, detox and overall health I think it’s just fine. I’ve had lots of success with adding it at times
