I was diagnosed just before Christmas with Prostate Cancer. It was caught very early and currently the doctor has me under active surveillance. I’ve had a bone scan done and the cancer has not spread anywhere else. I am going to start a 21 day fast to see if it will have a postive impact on lowering my PSA levels. I have nothing to lose other than a few pounds and maybe the cancer. I’ve been living a keto lifestyle for 5-6 years and lost over 130lbs in total. I’ve also done lots of 3 day fasts a few 5 day fast in the past. I’ll report my results back here if the fast helps lower my PSA levels. Need everyone’s prayers and good vibes.
Keeping you in my prayers and sending you LOTS of positive vibes. Also, I’m very interested in the results (because of being kinda sorta in similar situation), so if you’re okay with it, please share results. Thank you and you got this and we’re cheering your journey back to health
I recommend letting your body be the judge here. If you start feeling genuinely bad, do a major full spectrum mineral dose to see if it helps. If you still feel terrible four hours later, consider going off the fast just for 3 days perhaps and then returning. We come up with a lot of things in our head that our bodies may or may not be nutritionally able to do with a positive end result, and the only way our body has of telling us when there is a problem is the “feeling really bad.” I’ve done a lot of fasting over my life some fairly longer term so this was my body’s advice to me.
As you are doing this, I’d suggest read the book
