I had some pizza and beer after a 48 hour fast to in a way celebrate. I am now a day and a half out from my last time eating I can feel it all sitting in my abdomen. I feel like no digestion is taking place. normally I do sometimes get acid indigestion which is painful but solved with tums quickly. This is different, feels like I just got done eating a big meal 30 minutes ago.
i have tried tums, some baking soda mixed with water and even prune juice. every thing feels just frozen. if anyone could offer advice from previous experiences thatd be great thanks.
Yeah it’s not the fast it’s the food you broke your fast with. I’ve been there, fasted and then broke it with not the best foods. It sucks. If you’re fasting you should also change your food choices. Fasting won’t help with eating bad food that’s just how EDs happen. Next time have some chicken soup and see how you feel.
idk how much it will help because beer and pizza after a fast sounds very uncomfortable. But maybe drink a kombucha? the probiotics will help you shit out the nasty stuff and the carbonation might help. Also kombucha has good acids for your stomach, might give you more acid reflex though. you can also get kombucha without sugar. If i was you id buy a gallon of good alkaline water and drink on it all day.
I almost always break my fasts with a huge green salad & a protein source, like a grilled chicken breast.
I drank beer once while breaking a fast & almost fell into a diabetic coma. My brothers panicked and thought I was having a drug O.D. & threw me in a cold shower. Never gonna do that again!
You need to break the fast on low sodium, low carb, low fat and low calorie.
Pizza is literally just fat, salt, carbs and calories. You depleted your body of nutrients for 48 hours and the first thing you are feeding it is beer and pizza.
You should have spent 48 hours snacking small snacks of broth, chicken and steamed salmon.
Try dandelion or cinnamon tea and avoid all coffee until you are ok
Stenosis and dysmotility is actually common in December. Something about the change in weather… my entire family is going through it past couple days. And we avoid cheesy pizza during this season because of it. (We’re an allergy family and just sharing in case it may help others)
