So I recently learned that eating a lot of refined sugar (fructose in particular) depletes your reserves of certain vitamins and minerals (i.e Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin C and vitamin D). Yet fruits are very high in fructose, so now i’m asking myself if fruits are depleting those vitamins and minerals?… It sounds so stupid and counter-intuitive, so I wanted to ask this sub. Is it significantly different from eating sugary snacks?

Do you have a source for this?
