Do I need to worry about electrolytes?

I see that in other subs like r/fasting, they say that its absolutely necessary to take sodium, magnesium and potassium. What’s the approach with Dry fasts? I haven’t seen Dr. Filonov recommending to take any during a fast.

Answer

No electrolytes needed during the dry fast. Water depletes them which is why people take them during water fasts. During dry, your body is given full control to do what it does best. We are capable of incredible things when allowed to show it!

Answer

Electrolytes are lost more through water fasting due the additional water that is consumed.

In DF electrolytes are conserved and pretty well balanced by the body.

Depending on length of the fast you may need to be careful when you come out though to avoid edemas when you take water on.

Filinov recommends potassium and magnesium (as I recall) on exiting the fast and to avoid regular salt until we’ve taken regular amount of water back on board
