Do predators in the wild mostly dry fast or water fast?

We all know predators like Tigers, lions, cheetahs, wolves etc fast, that is no question. It is very rare for these types of animals to get kills and meals day after day, realistically it never happens. But the question is do they dry fast or water fast? I feel like they would mostly water fast since prey tend to live close to a water source and where vegetation mostly reside. Does anyone have any research of some sorts about this? Any anecdotal or empirical evidence?

Answer

Bears and cats, as far as i know will eat grass and other types of plants between their kills. Animals aren’t normally on dry fasts unless the environment forces it on them, they suffer a serious injury or if they fall ill.

Also, lets not forget that for herbivores there is an amount of water included on their food. While for carnivores blood would be the respective water in the food. Not saying it is enough (and that carnivores drink the blood lol) but this is a source of water that goes into the body, however small it is.Also, take into consideration the size of the animals compared to us.
