I do! I do Pilates in the morning because I love intentional movement. And I also dance during the anabolic and catabolic phase- and sometimes weight training:) During pro longed fasts I only do easier pilates and walking
I don’t do long fasts so I tend to do 16:8 to 20:4 depending on what’s going on that day and how I feel.
I run 40 min twice a week and do a long run (5 to 13 mi depending on the week) on the weekend. Other days I walk for about 40 min a day.
I don’t see it as running while fasting. I see it as fasting is my new food habit and running is my exercise habit. I treat them separately and don’t make special dietary adjustments for the running part.
I’m a teacher and during the summer I workout in the mornings before breading my 16:8 fast. During the school year I workout after work when my fast is already broken. I have not personally noticed a difference at all between working out in the fast or outside of it.
I’ve seen the best results when I do 30 minutes on the elliptical every night while wearing the leg resistance bands (booty bands). This is as opposed to just doing regular walking my dog twice a day.
I didn’t have it in me last month to work out extra, but I’m back at it starting today!
I’m also adding in 3 days of strength training/ week. I don’t have access to a gym so I’m just doing free weight and bodyweight exercises at home.
