I don’t know if it’s because I don’t have work, but I want a snack 😅😅
I intermittently fast M-F with a high calorie deficit, along with no refined sugar. Then try to eat two meals on the weekend with no restrictions. I usually continue to drop weight but some heavy cheat days on the weekend keep me at maintenance weight. My relationship with food has completely changed. It used to be a guilty pleasure on the weekends but now I have to consciously make sure I eat more on the weekends.
Just stick to what makes you happy and don’t get too hung up on being perfect.
The best thing to do is to fast around your life, not live around your fast. If your life is conductive to weekend fasts that’s great. Me? Starting on Sunday night after dinner and doing them through the work week works best.
I always fast if it’s possible without the pressure of others wanting to go out or grab something to eat while we’re currently out lol. The weekends are the toughest no doubt, but I don’t feel guilty at all if I eat some flavored wings with fries and dipping sauces or a big ass ice cream cone with sprinkles 😅. You’re kicking butt M-F so there’s no need to be hard on yourself because it’s the weekends. Don’t hold yourself prisoner and enjoy life lol.
