Do you have bowel movements on a dry fast?

I was wondering what happens to your last meal or two when you dry fast. Do they just sit in your guts drying up or are you still able to have bowel movements. I imagine not. I’ve only dry fasted after water fasting a few days, never started dry straight after a meal.

Answer

Yes. Depending on a number of factors like when and what you ate, plus your individual body. Complete digestion of food can take like 12 to 72 hours… Possibly longer for some of the processed garbage that we shovel down our gullets today.

Fruits will be quick, animal products will be slow.

The longer you go ofc the less likely your are to poop, but your body really doesn’t wanna keep garbage inside, especially when it’s detoxing in full swing on a dry fast.

I’ve pooped on day 3 before, it was like if you had mild constipation. Not too bad though.

I usually do 3 or 4 days of DF, followed by 4-7 days of a WF. I have regular bowel movements on the dry fasts–every morning, like clockwork. More regular than on a water fast or when not fasting, actually. I wake up and within several minutes, while I do stretches, I can feel my GIT start working! It is like a machine haha.

I tried doing Filinovs recommended intestinal cleansing prior to last extended dry fast and your pretty much on the before you start fasting. So I guess it would depend on your diet and prep heading in

I usually have just one day of water fast before I start my dry fast. The night after my last meal I take psylliy husk. And the night of my water fast before I go to bed I take a natural laxative supplement. By day 1 of DF i empty everything in my bowels.
