Do you have to be consistent with daily fasting down to the hour?

I want to lose about 15 pounds. I’ve been fasting from about 8 pm to noon the next day. I’ve been trying to go longer each day, hoping to make it to about 3, then 4, then dinner time.

To successfully lose weight and have the full benefits from fasting, does it still work if you aren’t consistently fasting the same hours?

Answer

for fat loss, the only thing that matters is that you eat less calories than you spent during the fast.

if you do daily intermittent fasting, make sure you arent eating an entire day of calories in one meal, because if you do, then you just re-fill the fat cells that were spent during the fast and effectively maintain your weight.
