Answer

Intermittent Fasting is a lifestyle of when you eat. What you eat, when you eat, is the diet. They are separate concepts.

If you want to lose weight, you absolutely have to eat less calories than your TDEE. You should still find yourself avoiding drinking calories, sugary things, things loaded up with highly processed ingredients. So, yes, diet changes as well.

Answer

My diet is objectively worse. I was eating very healthy, calorie counting, watching macros, full dietician support. Gained weight, went on IF and ate pizza regularly, increased my calorie intake by a good 30%, lost weight and have kept losing it.

Answer

I was keto for a couple of months before I started IF. I’ll slowly add more carbs to my diet when I hit my goal weight, but I’m fine keeping to mostly meat and eggs for the time being. Probably going to minimize highly processed foods for the rest of my life.

Answer

IF, but because of health concerns I want to address, it’s also being paired with dietary changes: low carb- not quite keto but around 30-35g net carbs, and high in healthy dietary fat which do not provoke an insulin response. Moderate protein, as this is needed for muscle, hair, nails, etc., but protein is eventually also broken down into something like 70-80g glucose depending on my intake, and my main goal right now is to avoid insulin spikes as much as possible in an attempt to reverse insulin resistance.
