Answer

I’m on day 22 of my 33 day fast and actually find that caffeine-free diet soda is what gets me through the days. Typically I drink mostly unsweetened sparkling waters, and that soda on occasional, but my taste buds just aren’t the same right now and I just can’t stomach anything bland. Especially after tolerating electrolyte supplements, there’s just no way.

Don’t recommend gum, especially since most still have a little calories in them. And also be careful about the sweeteners your drinks have. I found that Splenda and sugar alcohols would give me the runs. Aspartame is my safe bet though, zero issues there.

Answer

It’s best to use fasts to kick your addiction to these sensations. I am a sugar addict and found it best to cut it all out together. First few weeks is the hardest. I enjoy plain tea instead, or add lemon juice during my intermittent fasting.

Answer

I don’t think it is a good idea to chew gum or zero calorie mints but I do think the diet soda is ok.

I know that people say no but I haven’t noticed any difference in hunger or insulin when I fast with a diet drink. I notice a big hunger increase with gum or mints.

Answer

I personally do use mints or gum, I use a single tic tac or a single tic tac gum (hard to find these days) the serving size is small , and it helps me with cravings and freshens my breath. (I try it no more than once or twice a day)

i think one tic tac is half a calorie (correct me if im wrong)
