I’m having a hard time finding what works for me and without the intention of doing it I just fasted for three days and after eating for the last two days I feel like fasting again for three days. It’s much more easier to manage my weight loss and my thoughts about food when I don’t eat at all. So I was wondering if anyone has ever done such a thing for a short or a long period of time. Thank you for your help!
Do whatever is sustainable and healthy for you. That’s why I love IF so much is because you can mix things up from week to week. I’ve lost almost 60 lbs and the pattern I’ve found works best for me is OMAD as baseline with 2 48s OR a 48 and 72 during the week. That gives me consistently good results even if I screw up on my eating days.
I’ve been trying ADF (eat one day, fast the other) because I had the same problem with OMAD. It helps because the fasting isnt too extreme (36-48 hours) and it helps me stop thinking about food. Black coffee and energy drinks help
This is very difficult to answer. It could be sustainable but there’s really no way in telling before you go out and try. The best thing would be to try out this routine and listen to your body and how you feel. Personally though, if you think too much about food in OMAD then you might want to look into how your macros are distributed in those eating days. If food is the main thing on your mind then there’s the possibility your metabolism is either slowing down because of a prolonged calorie deficit or you are just craving carbs lol.
