Doctor told me to stop fasting. should I ignore?

Had basic health tests done and everyhing was fine except slightly slow heart rate and low blood pressure (was going for mental health issues, but he tested me after I said I was fasting). Currently on 3rd day of a fast.

He asked why I was fasting as I’m quite skinny. I said I do it to maintain my weight as I used to be obese. He said I should stop fasting immediately because it’s not healthy and I don’t have enough fat to sustain it. I think I do, because I put on two pounds from my normal weight before I started it. And I think it is healthy.

Do I carry on to complete the 6 days i planned?

Your binge/restrict cycle sounds a lot more like an eating disorder than fasting. I only say this because I’ve been through similar and had to take a hard look at my relationship with food. Fasting was definitely an excuse to continue my disordered eating.

As long as you’re getting the vitamins and nutrients you need while you fast, but, I don’t see the reason to go 3 days if you’re already thin and healthy, you could do a 23/1 instead, and just eat like 500 calories, or something. Minerals and vitamins are the key to maintaining this, and we have 103 in our bodies, so, make sure you’re getting most of them.
