Does a Celsius break a fast (fat burning perspective)?

I know consuming anything with calories technically breaks a fast, and that the Celsius has about 10 per can, but from a purely fat burning perspective does it matter? Especially if i’m using it as a pre workout and water fasting the rest of the day? I don’t really care about autophagy or whatever. Anyone know a better pre-workout? Looking for something with EGCG, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, and caffeine without BCAAs. Thank you!

Answer

What is Celsius, where i’m from its a measure of temperature.

If it is some kind of food then yes it will however if you are fasting for weight loss it wont impact you too badly. You can experiment with trying a fast with/without it and see which give you better results.

Answer

Yes. Just because it says no sugar/carbs doesn’t mean it won’t break your fast. It has sucralose in it and sucralose is a sweetener. And regardless of whether or not it’s ‘sugar’, it still causes an insulin spike.

Now you may be immediately burning it off, but it also depends on whether or not you have insulin resistance, if you’re trying to reduce your fasting blood glucose among other things. The best thing to do is, if you have a glucose monitor, check your blood before you drink it, and then 30 to 60 minutes after you drink it and see how much of an increase in your blood sugars it has created. And then you’ll know whether or not it’s worth breaking your fast for it.
