Does anybody else experience a lasting lightweight mental state even after breaking a 4+ day fast?

I did a 4-day water fast, broke it on Tuesday morning, it’s Thursday afternoon now and I’m still feeling that typical clear, lightweight, pure state of mind, as if my thinking pathways got cleared of all obstacles and waste. It’s easier to be relaxed and most of all mindful, at all times of the day. I’m almost delirious, but not in a confusing kinda way, just way more present and “meta” about everything, so it feels like a delirium. I’m already back to eating completely normal at this point, but the fasted mental state is still lingering and I’m really enjoying it. Did any of you end up with a permanent improvement of the mind following a fast?

Answer

Clarity of mind is a good side effect of fasting… Your perception is sharper, your thinking path is quicker, most of your usual daily annoyances are not even on your radar… It’s almost kind of magic, really difficult to explain to non fasters.
