My energy has plummeted because of a vacation, studying and work. Is it ok to have a “diet” energy drink?
I haven’t. I have read that you can but it is not ideal. The reason: the chemicals in the drink (even though there is no calories) may be broken down in the body as glucose and, by proxy, your fast may be broken. I have been doing black coffee in the mornings. And I completely empathize.
Make out of that what you will.
I sometimes have a bang energy while fasting, they’re the only ones I’ve found that don’t raise my insulin levels, but I’m sure you could have similar results with any 0 calorie, 0 total carbohydrate drinks.
