Answer

Any kind of change in your life, positive or negative, will have certain people worrying about you. The ones that truly care will stop worrying once they see that you’re still healthy and benefitting from it.

Answer

You just have to keep in mind that apparently most people are extremely misinformed about food science in general, especially and above all fasting. It would be cool to be able to talk about it but it’s really always best to just not mention it lol. Like even telling people how you successfully lost weight and got healthy, if you mention how fasting did it they really really don’t like hearing it lol..

Answer

I’ve been fasting since August and have lost 15 lbs. My family knows, but no one at work, because I don’t want to hear the comments “Oh no! Are you okay? Why are you not eating? That’s not healthy!” I feel like I have a wonderful secret, and each time I see the scale move, I smile.

Answer

That person is probably just worried about you, since many people think that everyone that’s not eating all the time has a eating disorder.

As long as you stay healthy and listen to your body, you don’t need to feel guilty. In a world where overeating is so normalised, it’s okay to skip a meal once in a while.

Answer

People freak about skipping one meal so imagine their concerns about a 5 day fasts!!

I never tell anyone unless they specifically ask the question. When they do, I tell them that I do an extended fast about twice a year for cancer prevention reason.

Because it’s twice a year and it’s against cancer I’ve never had push back (they don’t need to know that I fast multiple times per week 😋)

Answer

If it’s what works and who you are, you shouldn’t compromise. It sucks, but a lot of people have a weird knee jerk reaction. I think it comes from a sense of shame in their own eating habits.

Either way, you do you.

Answer

Yes, my husband absolutely hates it. So it’s caused plenty of issues. I also struggle a bit with raising my toddlers, who look to me and ask why I’m not eating. It’s controversial here, so I’ll leave it at that.
