I do 18:6 and AM fasting works best with my current schedule, 4:30/5 up, lunch is at 12, work ends at 3:30 eating ends at 6., however i’m ALWAYS starving in the am. Been doing this for 3 weeks and it feels like my body is never gonna adjust.
Do you drink coffee or tea? If you do, maybe hold off on drinking your first cup a little later in the morning and focus on drinking lots of water. If you wait until say, 9am for that first cup, then it’s not long to go until your first meal.
I had same issue and stopped having this problem after doing a few 2-3 day water fasts. After that I have had no problem doing 16:8 or 23:1. I do think it is mental. I drink a lot of black coffee too though which helps.
I am the complete opposite of you. Fasting for me is most difficult at night when i’m laying bed trying to sleep and my mind is constantly thinking of food. Cup of black coffee in the morning and I don’t even feel any hunger until 8pm.
