I do 120/48 hour rotations right now. Fast through the work week and eat on my weekend days. It all depends on the reason you are fasting, your why is very important here, I was 550lbs so this kind of fasting works well for me to peel off the pounds and reap the benefits of autophagy to (hopefully) reduce loose skin but it’s not for everyone.
2-3 days, sometimes a week or two. After 30+ years fasting on and off, I spend more days not eating. It’s more so about acclimation, rewards, and understanding your own body, with care and appreciation.
I’m doing a mix of 48’s and 24’s every week for now my third week. As long as I refeed with good fats, protein and veggies and drink my water and electrolytes, I feel fine. Have been keto 3 years and the last 30 pounds to hit my goal were just sticking for the last 5 months. Started IF with the rolling 48’s a few weeks ago and have lost 8 pounds. The scale is finally moving again!
