> Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends that the average individual should consume 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram or 0.35 grams per pound of body weight per day for general health. So a person that weighs 75 kg (165 pounds) should consume an average of 60 grams of protein per day.
You should aim to get around 1-1.25g of protein per kg of bodyweight. While calories will depend on your metabolism slightly, you should still stick to that rule of thumb regarding protein intake. Your muscles need that amount to maintain or gain muscle. If you need to cut down on calories because of slower metabolism, take out more carbs or fats.
No it depends on your Bodyweight (and when getting to higher BF% sometimes it’s better to go by lean mass) and your activity levels. And “slow vs fast metabolism” is a bit of a myth. At least in that it has anything to do with genetics. A “slow metabolism” just means you are generally not particularly active and/or your body composition isn’t favorable.
