I know muscle building during fast doesn’t really build muscles since it needs protein - but it still burns calories just the same correct? I am curious if anyone does a combination of cardio+strength or focus on cardio/strength only or do nothing?
I know either way the exercise is not going to make a huge dent in overall weight loss but it still count as some thing (even if burning extra 200 cal per month is \~ 2 lbs)? I am planning to do strength 4/week and zumba 7/week. Not sure if it will be too much?
Muscle protein synthesis lasts \~48hrs so if you eat during that period you would get some repair. You’re going to struggle to gain muscle when losing weight no matter what (unless starting from very obese) you strength train to reduce muscle wasting.
You do exercise to stay healthy not weight loss tbh.
