My understanding is fat burning happens when your insulin is at a lower level and your body depletes all it’s glycogen. Let’s say you do cardio when you start your fast, will this increase the amount of time you’ll be in “fat burning” mode during a 16-20 hour fast?

Fasted cardio will accelerate fat burning and then ketosis, yep! Don’t recommend doing cardio after a meal though (until at least 3 hours after), its uncomfortable and performance isn’t as good in my experience.
