Does drinking black coffee interrupt a fast?

Ive heard mixed feedback on this. Some people say it’s fine, others say no. I usually have a cup of coffee in the morning and eat one meal around dinner time. Should i cut the coffee in the morning out / start eating in the morning if it is breaking my fast?

Answer

It doesn’t interrupt a fast if it’s black coffee, but caffeine raises cortisol levels, so drinking too much will be detrimental to weight loss. This is specially the case if you drink several throughout the day.
