Answer

When I first started fasting, a lot of times I’d feel starving so once it was time to eat I’d binge crazy hard and get sick. Over time I’ve gotten better about it by either having a small snack before I have my meal to calm down that hunger and just learning how much I need to eat to feel full and recognizing that feeling before I eat too much. Sometimes I finish a fast not feeling super hungry and that helps too of course. But just be careful bc it can definitely exacerbate a binging problem when you start if you’re feeling particularly ravenous after a fast.

Answer

YES!

My personal experience is a much improved relationship with food. Hard to explain - it’s as if I experience food better and also recognize it’s not a substitute for other things I might need at the time (e.g. a reward, a consolation). You do have to stay alert, it’s not magic.
