I think the answer for this is different person to person. When I first started I changed nothing. It just helped me not snack at night basically. Eventually I hit a plateau and had to start eating healthier to keep going.

IF is a great way to control calories, which leads to weight loss. HOWEVER, incorporating whole, high-fiber foods will not only better your health, it’ll give you more energy and make IF a lot more sustainable.
It is a dietary change, you’re no longer eating that food used to be eating during those windows. Just think about how many fewer calories that is even if you kept your other meals exactly the same. By skipping breakfast I have reduced my daily caloric intake by about 600 cal.
It depends. Are you talking @ TRE like 18:6 or longer fasting like ADF, 48, 72, etc. Longer tends to get the best and fastest results and could offset diet more. Try your approach, see what your results are, adjust as needed.
