Does it get easier?

I’m doing OMAD and find it really really hard to go to sleep on an empty stomach. I’m used to filing up to the brim right before laying down. Does it get easier or do I just now have to live with going to bed in agony of how hungry I am everynight now that my body doesn’t act the way it did in my 20s? When I wake up I’m not hungry but going to bed is miserable (I eat between 4:30 and 5:30 pm)

In my entire life I’ve done on and off OMAD before I knew it was a thing. Reciently I’ve started a 3 day fast. As for hunger I’ve been adding a tsp of inulin power.. to feed my microbiome. They express Ghrelin when they expect to be fed. Perhaps try that?

I mean there’s a difference between seeing food and wanting it v.s. your body feeling it needs food. my body isn’t hungry.

Of course it’s important to make sure your electrolytes are awesome (not just salt)

Answer

It gets easier but IMHO you need to train your mind as well as your body to prevent rebound over eating on days you don’t do OMAD or fasting. Feeling deprived is a real physical feeling and it affects your mind as well. You will need to find out what works for you, but with perseverance you can find it.
