Answer

Not together?! I eat beans and oats together all the time in spicey sauce! It’s delicious :D.

So it depends on what beans you are using of course, but yes, combining oats and beans together does make for a very complete package.

284 grams (canned drained) of kidney beans

150 grams of oats (dry)

Is a 40\~ gram protein meal which hits all essential amino-acids at 90/100%.

Answer

No, because they would be missing some essential amino acids best found in animal protein. If you’re a vegetarian, you need to eat a wide variety of plant protein sources to get all the essential amino acids.
