A friend said I should be careful for saturated fat or some kind of fat, because it never leaves youre body, and stays in youre veins.
Inflammation in the endothelial lining of artery walls causes calcified plaques to form at the site of irritation, gradually narrowing the diameter until it becomes blocked. Fat all by itself is not the problem, likely culprits are insulin resistance, inactivity and excessive sugar and salt intake.
Haha I’d love to talk to your friend for a little bit and have a good laugh. That makes 0 sense.
Maybe they meant that when your body stores fat, it is stored as saturated fat? But if you aren’t in a caloric surplus, your body uses it for energy.
I think your friend is talking about cholesterol in arteries. Eating saturated fat is one of the causes.
I’m not sure of the answer. I think it’s perfectly possible to get rid of the fatty deposits if you lose weight and exercise. At some point though, I think the fatty deposits harden and become hard to get rid of, if not impossible.
Don’t listen to this friend regarding nutrition any longer. It’s difficult to even comprehend what they are trying to say. No, dietary saturated fat (or saturated fat produced by the body for that matter) does not accumulate in the blood/veins and stay there indefinitely.
