does smoking cigarettes break a fast? I cant drink coffee or tea without it.

Not sure it’s been studied. Chances are it won’t raise insulin because cigarettes are non- caloric, but they will probably stimulate a cortisol response which has its own impacts.
It does, however, also suppress hunger so who knows.
