Does taking gummy’s or melatonin count as breaking a fast

If I take a melatonin gummy to sleep or vitamin gummy’s in the morning outside of an eating window (I try to do OMAD but sometimes It will be closer to a 22:2 or 21:3) does it break my fast. I normally eat around dinner time so should I take the gummies then.

Answer

Yes, I can feel a difference when I take a gummy. Placebo effect? Maybe. But I found some stevia-sweetened gummies. You might want to give them a try so they don’t raise your insulin (or give you cavities at night) :)

Answer

So I do the same type of window that you do. OMAD around 5 pm. I used to buy the fibre chews or the chewy melatonin. I don’t have any scientific research to back up my claim, but I gotta tell you. When I took those daily for a week, my losses weren’t consistent to when I didn’t eat them. Maybe there were other factors, but that always stood out to me. I haven’t had them in over 4 months. My progression is back on track. So just take a vitamin tablet, and stick to the pill form of melatonin and see if you notice anything
