According to Dr. Jason Fung, how we ate decades ago, when three normal sized meals were common, and snacking was not, are what worked to keep us healthier. The overload on carbs, frequent carb heavy snacking, and the increased hunger that came with the insulin response, are likely what got us into this mess. Our mental health as a society plays a big role imho, too.
If I can limit myself to that type of eating, and don’t feel hungry, fasting might still be good for other health reasons, but I might not do it everyday.
