Down 4kgs (close to 9 pounds) in less than two weeks!

Just a quick one, but wanted to share.

I am M30, 6’5 195cms, Sw 131 kgs/ 288Lbs, Cw 127kg/ 279lbs

Historically, I was the typically gym goer, was 110kgs and lean. I had issues with my weight back then, but ya know, body dysmorphia. I’d give my left nut to look like what I did then. I was a fat kid who kicked it into gear and lost close to 40kgs from just going to the gym and eating a bit better.

Going forward, I had a knee injury playing sports, mental health issues from a bad job and I stacked it back on. Lost my love for the gym and still haven’t been able to find it (I hate the culture in the gym these days, 18 year olds ripping their clothes off and on steroids).

I am naturally a bigger guy, I hold it well (I can hide my dad bod) but I have genuinely struggled to lose weight now that I am older.

I know how to calorie count and all that jazz, but food is my thing. I love to eat, and I love to eat a lot. Always have. Intermittent fasting has been unreal, I still be naughty and eat some things that I love, but I don’t nearly eat as much and it’s also helped me realise my poor relationship with food.

Basically, I’m just sticking to my fasting windows (16-8 but I try push it to 17 to 18 hours depending on work and home schedule) with some walking of an afternoon. It’s a game changer.

Another plus, my stomach pains are near non existent. Bit of an over share, but it’s nice not to have to wake up and crap my guts out before work!

Thanks people! Good luck over the weekend! Beers bring me undone :( and I feel guilty!

So glad to hear this is working for you! My husband is also tall (though not as tall as you) and one of the challenges is that no one takes his attempts to eat well and exercise seriously; there’s as preconceived notion that if you are a “big guy” that’s that, and he should just realize he was made to eat burgers and drink beer and anything else is against genetics.

Good for you for taking control and doing it your way. I hope you find an exercise routine you love. Even if it’s just walking or swimming at the local pool.
