I can’t find the exact quote, but I recall he (or his assistant Megan Ramos) saying the clinic did not recommend OMAD long term as it will eventually turn into calorie restriction (either on purpose or just the nature of trying to fit all your calories in a small window). He theorizes that calorie restriction will lower your metabolism. I know you weren’t asking about OMAD, but maybe this will shed some light on it.
However, we all know Fung differentiates fasting (0 cals) from regular diets (calorie restriction), and that the body responds very differently in each scenario. Lots of people on the fasting sub do what you are doing. I would love an answer from him on the subject, but in the meantime, if it’s working for you and you feel well, then that’s good!
Hello~ i follow a similar routine to yours. 2 meals per week and I do 0 carb refeeds of 1000 - 1200 cals, but i only started 4 days ago so i’m open to adjust it if need to. So far im feeling great and losing weight so i will keep fasting ~
