Your body is designed to maintain glucose levels. Your glucose would spike about 30 min after your initial R&C and then with every drink after that again, but once you stop drinking, your blood glucose should normalize within 1-2 hours. Your body will use that glucose to replenish your glycogen stores (short term energy supplies) and then turn the rest of the glucose into fat.

When you fast/sleep, your body will maintain blood glucose within an appropriate range (so you don’t dip too low) so when you first wake up, your blood glucose should be low.
