Dry fasting after my hemorrhoidectomy surgery a bad idea???

I’m hypothesizing that if I don’t eat and drink i.e. dry fasting, that I will avoid as much pain in my anus as possible from slowing down the frequency of my bowel movements. But I don’t want to become constipated from possible dehydration and I want to keep my poo as soft as possible for when I eventually do have a bowel movement.

I haven’t eaten for about two days(got out of surgery yesterday) Im prescribed Percocet for the pain (which can cause constipation) but I’m taking Miralax twice a day. And “RE-LYTE” electrolytes as well. Do you think I will be able to avoid hard stools and constipation if I take all of these without any water and only just dry scooping them and letting my saliva dissolve the powders?

P.S. sorry if this post doesn’t make any sense. And will the 5 to 10 calories I get from the electrolytes powder ruin my dry fast?

Answer

dude you are really going to mess yourself up. Taking percs, while while taking miralax WHILE dryfasting will just confuse your body. It will be constipated from the pain meds and lack of water but the miralax will force your bowel to move stuff out. You WILL be in pain. Stop now
