Hello,
I just got saw in Dr. Filonov’s book that gout is a “relative” contraindication for gout, but he doesn’t say why.
My guess is that this is because going in ketosis can trigger gout flares?
I’ve been on a ketogenic diet for over a year, so I’m guessing it wouldn’t be a problem for me, but wondering if there are additional reasons.
Does anyone have any additional knowledge or experience?
Thanks, Adam.
When I first started fasting, it triggered a gout attack.
But the more I fasted the less gout attacks I got.
Now I can feel when I’m getting close to giving myself a gout attack, and it’s a signal to stop eating whatever it is that is pushing me towards that cliff.
