Dry Fasting for Dental Health

Hey guys, I recently had a dental filling replaced and upon returning a month later due to pain in the region, I’m told I need a root canal and got prescribed antibiotics.

I’m highly adverse to nuking my gut biome so I’ve taken it upon myself to run a series of rolling 48hr dry fasts in an attempt to:

  1. Kill the existing bacterial infections & promote lymphatic drainage
  2. Promote the release of stem cells within the dental pulp of the affected tooth
  3. Prevent an invasive root canal surgery that leaves me with a foreign object in my head, thus triggering a chronic immune response.

Has anyone had a similar experience or got some juicy dry fasting success stories they’d like to share for motivational purposes?

Answer

I’m generally against antibiotics (or the over-prescribing of them), but when you need them you need them.

Your gut biome can regenerate.

Fasting helps with autophagy, and maybe stem cell proliferation. But you’ll need super healthy food, too. So I would suggest foods with vitamin K2 (like grass fed butter). K2 helps calcium get to where it’s supposed to go in your body, instead of just floating around in your blood stream.

I would also avoid most vegetables, because they have anti-nutrients that may inhibit the absorption of vitamins and minerals from your diet. At least until your teeth are healthy.
