I’m getting my wisdom teeth out next week and they told me I won’t be able to workout for 10 days. I have a personal trainer (I’ve been trying to lose 10 lbs but it’s just not coming off, I am building muscle though), but I’ve told her we’re probably going to be on a break for at least a week.
Is it possible(or does anyone have experience) with dry fasting after a surgery like this? I also have some 250 calorie Soylent drinks with 30 g of protein that i figured I could drink if I got hungry or needed to take medicine without getting nauseous. I want to heal quicker so I can get back in the gym, back to work (I work from home but I want to be comfortable still), and be okay for solid food in time for thanksgiving. I also have a trip to Mexico that same thanksgiving week so I also wanted to shed some fat before then too.
Fingers crossed that I can lose some fat just in time to eat for thanksgiving lol (I won’t overeat tho, I just love holiday food)
You can’t really eat much after wisdom teeth removal anyway.
But once the sockets start healing, the taste in your mouth near those sockets in combination with keto breath might be a bit much to handle.
Honestly I would do OMAD with lentil soup etc. Or prepare a bone narrow broth diet for some days. That’s about all you’ll have pain tolerance for anyways and patience for cleaning the holes after eating. Even as a female, I consistently shed bloating and weight when having a 4-6 hr feeding window early in the day.
maybe try or start dry fasting a few days after surgery. But ultimately listen to your body!!! Be in tune and your body will tell you if fasting or feeding will be more healing. Go in with no plans and take each day as it comes .
Also pain medication while fasting can’t be good on your stomach and liver imo.
