Dry fasting with Sjogren’s Syndrome

Does anyone have experience dry fasting with Sjogren’s Syndrome? I am about 48 hours into a dry fast and am getting extremely dry. (As you would expect with Sjogren’s Syndrome) I was hoping my body would react well and the dryness would get better as the fast got longer. Any advice or experience with this? Thanks.

Healthy dry fasters also feel dry on a dry fast. That is to be expected. Dry fasting is pretty uncomfortable in a lot of ways and that is actually part of the process. If you don’t like feeling uncomfortable remember that you could also try the carnivore diet as it does heal a lot of ailments while you would still get to drink and eat.

If you have such a condition it could take a while to see some type of improvement. Definitely a lot more than two days. A simple skin infection takes about 3 to 4 days to heal in my case. My psoriasis usually disappears on the 4th, 5th or 6th day of my dry fast. I’m currently on the 3rd day of my 5 day dry fast and my psoriasis is still present. I would imagine that a condition like yours could take longer.

I would just give it some time. Two days is just not enough time. Many ailments actually take several fasts to heal. Just something to keep in mind.

One thing i can say for sure, is that it is night and day when i actually take the time and over hydrate myself for a few days before a dry fast and when i don’t do that. I usually drink some juices + water melon + oranges + potassium rich foods as much as i can, then i do an enema to get my intestines clean prior to dry fasting, otherwise you will feel like absolute shit. If i don’t hydrate properly, i get extremely dry by the 48hour mark too.

Now since you’re on carnivore diet, that means, that you probably (if you’re super strict) don’t eat and drink anything other than meat, so i think that it’ will be a problem man. You have to find a way to hydrate yourself to the max. You can also not do that and endure, but it will be very difficult.

Also.. if you’re serious on healing anything major with dry fasting, then minimum of 9days is needed. Often even multiple 9+days of dry fasting are needed. This is no joke. There is this YT channel called “Dry Fast” where Dr. Filonov is frequently interviewed (Dry fasting doctor in Russia) where he explains his approach in great detail. Obviously you don’t just jump head on into the 9+ day dry fast, but you get the idea. 40day water fast can work too, but Filonov says that it is not as effective as dry fasting, and i believe him. He has helped healing many things to many people.

Edit: Also if you do dry fast. Go on walks. The more the better. You will feel better. Don’t sleep all day in bed or smth like that, you will accumulate toxins and feel like crap.
