Earl Grey tea during fasting window questions

I’m one month into my return to the IF lifestyle! Really no complaints except that I miss my Earl Grey tea. Was drinking Twinings version but it contains “black tea, natural flavors & bergamot peel”-so not sure if that will damage my fast? Considering other brands that are “Black tea & bergamot oil” but wondering if that will also damage my fast.

Been enjoying some other plain black teas but would love to drink my beloved Earl Grey again during fasting window if it won’t harm my fast.

Hoping for some answers, wishing you all the very best of health and life!

Answer

I’ve dabbled with the “clean” fast and having flavored teas (no sweeteners/sugars) during my fasting window. I can say with 100% certainty that earl gray, chamomile, mint, lemon ginger, etc will break my fast as in I end up absolutely famished just moments after finishing my tea. I think everyone is different, but if your body has no reaction to drinking something flavored like that then rock on!
