I am 34(M) 179cm, 80kg, doing 16/8 fasting for last 3 years.
My question is how bad it is if I eat a lot before my fast starts, and also I been eating fast my whole life, I don’t chew my food enough.
I don’t have any issues, but lot of people told me it’s bad how much I eat and how fast.
If you ain’t in a caloric deficit, you won’t lose weight. Eating slow is in general better, but you shouldn’t have fasting issues because of eating quickly before starting one. You can feel pretty bad if you break your fast with a big meal or eating too fast.
Depends what your goals are. If you want to lose weight, I recommend portioning things out before you sit down to eat and having the discipline to stick to your portions. Otherwise you might end up overeating and therefore gaining weight, regardless of fasting.
I also eat like an animal and have no problems because of that. I do portion out everything and know that even if I finish my meal within 2 mins there’s no more after that.
