Eating raw, soaked grains?

I’ve seen recipes for saw soaked oats, even steel cut. Could the same be done with other whole grains, like wheat berries? I don’t mind a chewy texture. I actually like it. I’m more curious about an nutritional advantages and disadvantages. Wheat berries seem to have a much lower glycemic index than ground wheat, for example.

Though it may seem like a good idea , its not, don’t try it as it is beneficial by any means. Also, you will have constipation if you eat raw (soaked)wheat berries.Cooking them increases their ability to be absorbed more easily by the body, especially the micronutrients.

Cook your grains to get better health.

Answer

Seeds are not meant to be eaten. We need to cook them / ferment them in order to get rid of at least part of their anti nutrients and to be able to get any nutrition from them. For a lot of people, even with all this they cause inflammation.
