Eating table spoons of Salt instead of mixing it with Water

I have been told that by eating two big Table spoons of salt - in the morning Each day - during a water Fast - is the way to go.

I have been doing this for a while - including in extended fasts.

I have been told that this increases autophagy when done on an empty stomach - and you swallow the salt raw.

I am absolutely mortified at going into my next extended fast and doing this again.

This is not pleasant - and hard to do - especially in the morning.

So i am here to ask for advice.

Is eating two table spoons (big ones) of Salt in the morning conducive to autophagy - or can I drink it with water or some other way.

One of my main reasons for this is that it induces stress on the body and allows for heavier training later in the day.

Thank-you in advance - I am entering an extended fast tomorrow.

Answer

For example this in a question to eating a table spoon of salt in regards to its effects.

Probably not if you are correctly hydrated when you eat the salt, but that much salt will throw your body out of balance in the short term. In hot training areas like some boot camps, recruits are daily given salt tablets, a compact form of less than a teaspoon of salt. They then are encouraged to drink lots of water. The practice helps them retain water to avoid dehydration in heavy workouts.

So its a good Idea - to eat a few table spoons of Salt in the morning raw - then get re-hydrated!

Especially if you want to train while fasting! - Heavier training.
