Eating windows

I have been thinking about trying IF recently. Not for any weight loss or health reason but mostly practical. Almost everything I have read has gone on about having your eating window in the afternoon/ evening.

Personally I would be more able to eat in the morning. I can’t see any reason why not too. Has anyone got any evidence for or against? Is this just the status quo?

Answer

It’s less about eating windows and more about making sure you hit your minimum fasting goal during your fasting window. It really doesn’t matter when you eat as long as you fast for long enough. You can coordinate your day however you want! It’s most common to have lunch/dinner though.

Answer

I find that it’s easier to begin my day not eating and end it eating. If I get up and eat I am going to want to eat for the rest of the day. I’ve had very little success keeping a fast going with a morning eating window. But I also have a crap relationship with food, everyone is different.
